Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a CPA firm?+
No. Clear Budget Services, LLC is a strictly administrative and educational non-CPA bookkeeping support, budgeting education, financial record organization, HOA administrative support, and workflow business. We do not provide CPA services, audits, reviews, compilations, attestation services, tax preparation, tax filing, legal advice, investment advice, insurance advice, lending advice, credit repair, debt settlement, or other regulated professional services.
Do you prepare or file taxes?+
No. Clear Budget Services, LLC does not prepare or file tax returns. We can help organize bookkeeping records and summaries that clients may provide to their own CPA or tax professional.
Can you work with my CPA or tax professional?+
Yes. With client permission, we can help organize records, bookkeeping summaries, and information so clients are better prepared for conversations with their CPA or tax professional. Any tax advice, filing, or strategy should come from that licensed professional.
What bookkeeping services do you offer?+
Monthly transaction categorization, bank and credit card reconciliations, bookkeeping record organization, chart of accounts setup, QuickBooks setup support, cleanup projects, quarterly reviews, and bookkeeping summaries such as profit and loss summaries, balance sheet summaries, and software-generated cash flow summaries.
What is not included in monthly bookkeeping?+
Tax preparation, tax filing, payroll processing, sales tax filing, audit work, legal advice, investment advice, or anything outside the agreed scope. Cleanup work, high transaction volume, and special bookkeeping summary needs may require a separate quote.
How do you price bookkeeping services?+
Using starting package rates and custom quotes. Pricing depends on account count, transaction volume, software setup, cleanup needs, and overall complexity. You'll receive a proposed package or custom quote after an intake review.
Can you help organize messy books?+
Yes. Cleanup services are available for uncategorized transactions, backlog, duplicate entries, unreconciled accounts, and account structure issues. Cleanup projects begin with an organization check so scope, timeline, and price can be quoted accurately.
Do you set up QuickBooks?+
Yes. QuickBooks setup support may include account creation, settings review, bank feed connection support, categories, chart of accounts structure, and basic automations. Clients remain responsible for maintaining access, subscriptions, and final approval of their records.
Do you offer budget organization support?+
Yes. This may include budget document organization, debt tracking worksheets, savings goal tracking, household record organization, bill organization, and due-date tracking. Budget support is strictly educational and organizational — not investment, lending, tax, legal, insurance, credit repair, or debt settlement advice.
Can you help my HOA?+
Yes. HOA support may include budget document organization, bookkeeping summary organization, board administrative support, vendor and invoice tracking, document organization, communication templates, and meeting preparation support.
Do you manage HOA funds or make board decisions?+
No. We provide organization, review, workflow, and support services. The HOA board or authorized representative remains responsible for decisions, approvals, payments, policies, and governance matters.
How do clients share documents securely?+
Through our secure client portal, set up during onboarding. It uses passwordless login (a code sent to your email, no password to manage) and access-controlled file sharing. We avoid collecting unnecessary sensitive information by email or text.
How long does setup or cleanup take?+
Timelines depend on the condition of records, number of accounts, transaction volume, and client responsiveness. Smaller setup projects can move quickly; cleanup projects with several unresolved months may take longer.
Do you offer ongoing monthly support?+
Yes, through monthly bookkeeping packages, monthly budget organization support, ongoing HOA board support, or administrative workflow support, depending on your needs and scope.
What happens during the discovery call?+
We talk through your goals, current challenges, software, account structure, transaction volume, cleanup needs, and timeline. Afterward you'll receive a suggested service package or a custom quote.
Do you serve clients outside Utah?+
During this initial launch phase, Clear Budget Services, LLC serves Utah clients only. Remote service within Utah may be available depending on the service type and onboarding requirements.
How do I know which package is right for me?+
It depends on your goals, current records, account count, transaction volume, and desired support level. A discovery call or intake review is the best way to confirm the right fit.
